  • Pitman received his bachelor's degree in History from Kentucky Wesleyan College in 1980.
  • Pitman received his master's degree in Physical Education from Adelphi in 1985.

ASSISTANT COACH Brian Hennessy -  

     Highlights of Assistant Coach Hennessy's Coaching Experience include:

  • This is Brian's first year on the Seawolves' coaching staff, after finishing up his illustrious playing career for the Seawolves last season.

     Highlights of Coach Hennessy's Playing Experience include:

  • A three-year standout at Oceanside High School.
  • As a senior at Oceanside, Brian was named Second-team All-Long Island, First-team All-Nassau County, and Conference I Most Valuable Player.
  • As a freshman in college in 1992-93, average 3.2 points per game at C.W. Post.
  • In 1993-94, averaged 4.7 points per game for the Seawolves, after a mid-year transfer from Post.
  • In 1994-95, average 12.0 points per game for the Seawolves, second highest on the team.
  • Sat out the 1995-96 season.
  • As a senior in 1996-97, Brian averaged 15.2 points per game, and 3.5 rebounds per game, and was named the Seawolves Most Valuable Player. He was the team's leading scorer, and served as the team's Captain.
  • Brian scored 770 points in his career at Stony Brook, and ranks second on the all-time list for three-pointers made with 143 (out of 378 attempts).
